As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you’ll lead the Lean roadmap for our Cartons & Labels business unit. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with Operations and cross-functional partners to improve processes, eliminate waste, strengthen quality and cGMP compliance, and help teams deliver their best work—every day.
What You’ll Be Accountable For:
Operational Excellence:
- Partner with Operations to troubleshoot production issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Analyze production data and trends to improve safety, uptime, throughput, setup, scrap, and labour efficiency.
- Lead and support the facility’s Lean manufacturing roadmap and CI strategy.
- Facilitate 5S, Kaizen, SMED, TPM, and VSM events to reduce waste and improve flow.
- Champion the CI action items from our daily Gemba walks and drive delivery of measurable, hard-dollar savings.
- Identify and execute long-term improvement projects aligned to operational KPIs.
- Analyze workflows and implement best practices that improve process stability and compliance.
- Support the development of equipment procedures for safety, LOTO, TPM, operations, and setup.
- Drive improvements to tooling, equipment, layouts, space utilization, and production rates and waste reduction.
- Monitor, track, and report CI project performance against plan and defined KPIs.
- Prepare trend analysis and insights to assess effectiveness and inform next-step improvements.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Leadership team.
- Lead cross-functional teams through root cause analysis, CI projects, and improvement events.
- Develop, standardize, and deliver CI training through classroom and on-the-floor coaching.
- Act as a champion for Lean thinking and continuous improvement adoption.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field
- 5+ years of experience leading Continuous Improvement on the production floor.
- Experience in cGMP, pharmaceutical, packaging, automotive, or agri-food industries
- Strong working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Hands-on experience leading Kaizen, 5S, SMED,
DMAIC, VSM, TPM, and root cause analysis events on a weekly basis. - Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into action
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead projects to completion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Black Belt certification considered an asset

Total Rewards
We’re offering a competitive compensation in the range of $67,000 – $90,000 per year. Pay will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
