Tooling & Process Specialist

As a Tooling & Process Specialist, you’ll support tooling management, production efficiency, and standardized ways of working across our Narrow Web operations. You’ll connect data, tooling, and people, helping pre-press, press, and post-press teams operate with precision while upholding our commitments to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Accountable For:
- Tooling Systems & Data: Implement and maintain tooling management systems and analyze data to track job volumes, die status, and lifecycle health.
- Insight & Reporting: Help to create Power BI dashboards that visualize tooling status, usage, and obsolescence to support operational decisions.
- Tooling Coordination: Manage purchase orders, vendor timelines, dispatch, replacements, and engineering updates aligned with production schedules. Tool life management, obsolescence, backup dies, etc.
- Production Efficiency: Improve job dockets with clear operating parameters to reduce make-ready time, waste, and variability.
- Process Standardization: Align high-running CADs and best practices across narrow web and sheet-fed operations.
- SOP Development: Create clear, formal training SOPs for machines and roles in collaboration with operators.
- Consistency Across Shifts: Standardize processes across work centres to ensure repeatable, reliable outcomes.
- Operational Support: Provide coverage for leadership and coordinate pre-press, post-press, and raw material staging as needed.

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Operations-related disciplines.
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing systems or production environments.
- Experience in flexographic, narrow web, or sheet-fed printing operations.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and operational data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Confidence collaborating across technical, production, and leadership teams.

Total Rewards
We’re offering a competitive compensation in the range of $68,000 – $80,000 per year. Pay will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
