Supply Chain and Warehouse Supervisor

Reporting to the Operations and Supply Chain Director, the Supply Chain and Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the planning/purchasing and warehouse activities within the Supply Chain function for the Strathroy Adair site. The Supply Chain and Warehouse Supervisor actively supports all warehouse activities from staging materials to shipping.

 

Regular Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM-4:30 PM

 

The Role

 

  • Be an active leader in the sites EH&S programs while overseeing the site’s waste contractor to ensure compliance with Catalent and local environment regulations.

  • Be the lead for all Customer, Regulatory and internal Quality audits for the Supply Chain and Warehouse functions ensuring a perpetual state of Audit Readiness.

  • Overall accountability for the production schedule ensuring customer orders are handled in the appropriate priority, planning of customer forecasts, and maintenance of all work orders in the ERP system.

  • Ensure material staging is in accordance with the production schedule and shipping meets all Customer requirements.

  • Manage the warehouse team ensuring procedures are in place for both Goods-In and Goods-Out.

  • Effectively make changes through the change management process.

  • Complete and maintain Health & Safety risk assessments ensuring CSA standards are met for lifting devices.

  • Regularly identify and implement Continuous Improvement projects with support from Manager.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

The Candidate

  • High School diploma or equivalent, a post-secondary degree is considered an asset.

  • Minimum 1+ years of shipping, receiving and/or inventory control.

  • Supply Chain knowledge in planning/purchasing advantageous.

  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing and/or GMP facility.

  • 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred.

  • Strong numeracy, verbal, and written reasoning skills

  • Experience working within a supply chain environment preferably gained within the pharmaceutical or food industries.

  • Creative problem-solving skills with high level attention to detail.

  • Dynamic, proactive self-starter with the desire to improve performance through appropriate change management.

  • Continuously demonstrating a passion for excellence, producing high quality work ensuring delivery of excellent results.

  • Able to communicate effectively when dealing with customers.

  • Able to work with minimal supervision, while ensuring staff beneath him/her are suitably engaged.

  • Capable of operating related computer applications (including but not limited to; Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Capable of obtaining a Forklift Operator Certificate.

  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.

  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk, regularly reach with arms and hands, bend, or twist, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • Be accessible to manufacturing floor and office staff and to use required office equipment.

  • Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents, frequent use of computer monitor and include close vision.

  • There is also the potential exposure to chemicals.

  • Lift up to 25kg.
