Job Summary

 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Health System Transformation, the Transformation Consultant supports greater integration of the strategic plan and services within the organization and across the health system, to improve operational efficiency and patient and provider experiences. Strong partnerships and engagement with internal and external stakeholders and service providers is required in the ongoing strategy, planning, design and implementation of integration initiatives.

  • Temporary Full-Time - 1 Year
  • Rate of Pay: $47.85 to $59.81 per hour

Qualifications

 
  • Successful completion of a Master's Degree in Health Administration, Health Planning, Public Health, Business Administration, or an equivalent as accpetable by the hospital
  • Certificate with the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL), or in the process of obtaining the Canadian Health Executive Certification considered an asset
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in more responsible leaderships roles in a healthcare environment, and managing complex, large scale projects
  • Strong understanding of the hospital’s strategic plan and priorities
  • In-depth health system knowledge and strong sense of change management
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitation, collaboration and negotiation with multiple stakeholders and/or service providers
  • Ability to work in a complex and ambiguous environment
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Ability to understand and analyze population and organizational data to serve and inform planning
  • Critical thinking skills to assess different elements of the proposed approaches, considering the outcomes for patients, providers, the system, and LHSC
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting performance data, including financial data, quality indicators, and evaluation of program performance
  • Demonstrates high-caliber and judgement, decision-making and triaging ability to support executives
  • Self-directed, courageous, and highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

  • Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to: 
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;  
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);  
  • Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated
