Quality Measurement & Clinical Decision Support (QM&CDS) provides leadership and expertise in the development of integrated analytics and methodologies for measurement to support quality improvement, patient safety, performance measurement, and initiatives supporting the strategic plan. QM&CDS manages key information systems including the Patient Safety Reporting System, National Rehabilitation Reporting System, Resident Assessment Instruments, Informed Workload Measurement System, and Case Costing System.

The Integrated Analytics Consultant / Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines for SJHC London. The position will provide a broad range of data engineering functions including data modeling, data quality, data profiling, data acquisition and ingestion, extract transform load (ETL), metadata enrichment and management, data provenance and lineage, and other specialized data management functions.

On a daily basis, you will work on:

-Data Solution Development: Design and implement data platforms and warehouses using Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Fabric, ensuring seamless integration with current and future data repositories and analytics platforms.
-ETL/ELT Processes: Develop and optimize data pipelines using SSIS and Azure tools to support data ingestion, transformation and integration from in-house data sources and cloud service providers via APIs.
-Analytics Product Development (Reports, Dashboards, data exchange): Microsoft Reporting Technologies (SSRS, PowerBI) and other reporting tools and data/information exchange technologies.
-AI Integration: Leverage AI capabilities to automate data preparation, transformation, and analysis tasks, enhancing data engineering workflows
-Data Governance: Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance within our on-premises DWH and Microsoft Fabric environments, implementing best practices for data management
-Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance the performance of data models, queries, and ETL processes to ensure scalability and efficiency
-Optimize data workflows, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance
-Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions
-Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices



Essential Qualifications

  • Four-year Bachelor's degree in computer science
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on data infrastructure
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing and modeling concepts
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms including Azure and Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
  • Advanced technical skills with SSAS/SSRS/SSIS and other business intelligence tools, T-SQL coding abilities and experience with MDX and DAX
  • Experience in optimizing databases; solid understanding of referential integrity and the use of indexes
  • Demonstrated experience with security best practices for data handling and storage.
  • AI and Machine Learning Familiarity: Understanding of AI workflows
  • Familiarity with version control systems
  • Project management skills and documentation skills
  • Experience working with health care data and knowledge of hospital systems such as Cerner systems and other sector-specific clinical information systems such as the National Rehabilitation Reporting System
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks while managing multiple projects
  • Demonstrated skill and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • An analytical nature, life-long learner and excellent written and oral communications skills are requirements for this position
  • Demonstrated self-awareness and an understanding of personal strengths and weaknesses in pursuit of continuous improvement

Immunization Requirements
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
