AMOSO Team Assistant- Academic Medical Organization of Southwestern Ontario (AMOSO)

AMOSO is a non-profit association of LHSC, St Joseph's Healthcare, London (St. Joseph's), Western and the Clinical Teachers Association (CTA) at Western. AMOSO is accountable to the Ministry of Health (MOH) for the London Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) Alternate Funding Plan (AFP) Agreement which provides over 51 million dollars of compensation and research funding for eligible London Clinical Academic Physician Groups working at LHSC and/or St Joseph's, with a Clinical Academic appointment at Western.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our AMOSO office administrative team in order to make a positive contribution to the processes and interface our organization has with London Academic Medicine physicians and their stakeholders' organizations and teams.

Reporting to the Executive Director of AMOSO,  and working closely on a day to day basis with the AMOSO team, the team assistant for the Academic Medical Organization of Southwestern Ontario (AMOSO) is responsible for  assisting the AMOSO funding administrators with coordinating the day to day organization of AMOSO's administrative tasks including processes surrounding the calculation and distribution of funding including research competitions and also the AMOSO office and daily workflow of processes and projects as required. The incumbent will assist with administrative support to several committees and projects and assist when required to help maintain the AMOSO's Website. 

The successful candidate will work closely with a small supportive team striving to provide excellent service to all AMOSO stakeholder groups and is encouraged to provide creative solutions for continual process improvement. Examples include:

  • Help Track, review, follow-up and maintain AMOSO documentation.

  • Help with correspondence both including drafting emails and letters.

  • General AMOSO office duties can include working on special projects and initiatives, processing expenses, assisting with financial reports and general organization of the AMOSO office.

  • Rate of Pay:  $25.44 - $31.80

Qualifications

 
  • Minimum qualifications include successful completion of 2-year college diploma in Medical, Executive, Business or Office Administration or as acceptable to the hospital.

  • Ability to produce creative, professional, accurate and effective communications and reports an asset.

  • Has an excellent skill-set level in Microsoft Teams including Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the set-up of virtual meetings (e.g., WebEx and Microsoft Teams)

  • Comfortable working with numbers and Excel

  • Commitment to AMOSO's Mission, Vision, and Values
