Project Life Cycle - ITS Project Delivery

 

This role will be supporting work for eReferral Ontario. eReferral Ontario is a provincial platform launched by Ontario Health in August 2025. It allows providers to send and manage referrals digitally, streamlining communication, reducing paperwork and improving the referral experience for both providers and patients.

 

The Project Consultant leads and manages complex projects from design to completion, while mentoring hospital departments on project delivery practices. They build strong stakeholder relationships, promote change management, and drive innovation to support strategic priorities. The role includes coaching team members, coordinating internal and external project resources, and collaborating with senior leaders to develop business cases and support presentations to executive leadership.

 

Rate of Pay: $48.19 - $60.23 per hour

 

Status: Temporary Full-Time

 

Duration: Until January 2027

 

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours a week

Qualifications

 
  • College Certificate (2 years) in Health/Business Administration, Computer Science, or related as accepted by the Hospital
  • Undergraduate Degree in related discipline preferred
  • Certification from the Project Management Institute; or Improvement Certification including Lean Six Sigma
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification; Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years' previous related experience
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient process improvement and business design experience
  • Advanced critical thinking, decision-making, consensus building and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced change management and project management skills including financial management
  • Advanced ability to identify and manage risk
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with ability to build collaborative partnerships
  • Proficient knowledge of local and regional health care systems with health care project experience
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Advanced facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated excellence in quantitative and qualitative analysis and evaluation and project leadership
  • Working knowledge of industry best practices, benchmarks and measurement/evaluation methodologies
  • Advanced organization and time management
  • Advanced project management experience utilizing waterfall, agile, and iterative practices preferred
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
