Reporting to the Operations Manager, Cardiac NonInvasive & Outpatient Services Department, the individual is required to perform adult electrocardiogram (ECG). This position will also include rotation in Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Outpatient Clinics. The Department offers a wide range of diagnostic Cardiology procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations.

Multiple Position Available 

Rate of Pay:  $32.59  per hour - $37.26 per hour

Standard Hours: 37.50 hours 

Qualifications

• Registered Technologist with Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologist (OSCT) or equivalent
• Successful completion of a Cardiovascular Technology program
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course:  BLS-HCP(C)
• Minimum one (1) year of previous related experience
• Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Internet Explorer, GroupWise and Cardiac Information Databases
• Ability to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment
• Physically fit and able to perform duties required in this fast-paced position
• Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
• Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
• Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s vision, purpose and values
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements: 

Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:

• Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (Chicken pox), Hepatitus B, Tetanus/Diptheria/Polio; Meningitis;
• Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
• Provide proof of Health Canada-apporved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health's current definition of being fully vaccinated
