Note: These are part-time Faculty positions (up to 6 hours per week) starting January 7, 2026 and ending April 17, 2026.
Note: These positions are located at 1001 Fanshawe College Blvd, London, ON N5Y 5R6.
Fanshawe College is seeking interested and qualified professionals to teach didactic and clinical courses in the Dental Assisting (DAS) and Dental Hygiene (DHY) programs in the School of Health Sciences.
Duties: Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Health Sciences, part-time Professors are responsible for teaching courses within the DHY and DAS programs and developing an effective learning environment for students
General Qualifications
	- Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Excellent communicator
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
- Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery preferred
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
 
Specific Qualifications
	- Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree in a related discipline; consideration will be given to applicants currently enrolled in a Master’s program
- Minimum 5 years’ recent and relevant experience
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
- Dental Assistants must be a graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program with successful completion of the National Dental Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB) Exam along with a Baccalaureate degree (or in progress) in a related field is required
- Dental Hygienists must be graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program along with a Baccalaureate degree (or in progress) in a related field is required
- Post-secondary teaching or training experience is required, with the preferred candidate demonstrating experience in curriculum design and experience with inter-professional education initiatives
