The Research Quality Assurance Advisor is committed to clinical research quality and participant safety across the organization through the administration of the institutional Research Quality Management System.  The Research QA Advisor conducts quality assurance audits and investigations to support the development of risk mitigation and compliance strategies.  The QA Advisor is responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive clinical research education program to promote continuous quality improvement (i.e. standard operating procedures, guidance documents, and templates in support of clinical research conduct). This role acts as an expert resource to Research Administration and other stakeholders on clinical research compliance issues. The Research QA Advisor must remain current on local, national and international legislation and regulatory requirements to promote and sustain clinical research excellence across the organization.

Hours of Work: 37.5 

Rate of Pay:   $34.22- $42.78 per hour 

LHSC is committed to the principles of hybrid work and may offer this option to employees whose work can be performed in an alternate location, without adverse impact to the operations of the Hospital, inclusive of our Staff and Patient experience. Confirmation of hybrid work options available to you will be clarified upon hire and may be subject to change based on the duties required of your position. Successful candidates will be required to perform work within Ontario and must be available to work on location, as required.

Qualifications

 
  • Undergraduate degree in Science or Health related field required

  • Post graduate diploma in Regulatory Affairs preferred

  • SoCRA, ACRP or RQAP certification preferred

  • Knowledge of legislation, regulations, standards and guidelines relevant to clinical research (Proficient)

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of clinical research conduct, risk mitigation strategies and CAPA development (Proficient)

  • Experience auditing drug, device, biologic, or radiopharmaceutical trials for compliance and quality assurance (Proficient)

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in program development, evaluation and education

  • Interpersonal and collaborative problem-solving skills (Proficient)

  • Communication skills, verbal and written (Proficient)

  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and corporate productivity tools

  • Time management; attention to detail and organizational skills (Proficient)

  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and integrity (Proficient)

  • Consensus building, conflict resolution, critical thinking, presentation and facilitation skills (Proficient)
