Full Time
Salary Range: $58.37 - $68.67 /hour

 


As Manager, you will be accountable for the effective and efficient operational needs and resource management of the Medical Device Reprocessing department and several associated clinics. An established professional, you will act as a coach, facilitator, teacher and provide leadership to support the continuous development of the team. You possess highly developed leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and are known as an innovator, enabler and systems thinker. Guided by our mission, vision and values, we rely on your change management, consensus building and conflict resolution skills as you ensure the service needs of the patients and customers.

Essential Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in healthcare related field, preferably Nursing
  • Medical Device Reprocessing Certificate
  • Member of MDRAO (Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario)
  • Active member in good standing of Regulated Health Professional College i.e. College of Nurses of Ontario
  • 5 years progressive leadership preferably in the healthcare sector
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
  • Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
  • Strong leadership, coaching, consultation, facilitation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Very strong computer skills for word processing, data management and informational research skills
  • Strong analytical and financial background including hospital funding, budget development, and information management background
  • Demonstrated experience in program development, lean methodology program evaluation, project management and research
  • Previous leadership experience in unionized and non-unionized environment
  • Experience with scheduling and tracking systems (Cerner, and Censitrac)
  • Strong knowledge of CSA standards, PIDAC standards and infection control practices
  • Demonstrated expertise and evidence of ongoing professional development in infection control practices
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a wide range of professionals
  • Ability to promote the values of shared leadership and interdisciplinary team collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset
  • Experience working in an ambulatory setting
Teaching and Research
  • St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties
Immunization Requirements
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
