CASUAL PART-TIME ADULT DAY CENTRE ASSISTANT
Adult Day Care Department
Duties:
Communicate effectively and appropriately with the clients of the ADP to cultivate an atmosphere of friendship, enthusiasm and belonging
Work harmoniously and effectively with others and promote the philosophy of the ADP in the community and health care field
Assist ADP Coordinator and Program Assistant with programs/duties as required.
Position available immediately
Qualifications:
Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity
against measles, mumps, rubella,
varicella (chicken pox) and 2 COVID 19 vaccinations
Must provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 3 months
Diploma or certificate in a health care related field
PSW (Personal Support Worker) certificate preferred
Experience with complex care an asset
Strong assessment, communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience working with seniors an asset
Current certificate in CPR/First Aid – renewed annually
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a interdisciplinary team
Palliative Care, Mechanical Lift, Whirlpool experience an asset
Demonstrated commitment in ongoing learning and professional development
Demonstrated excellence in attendance
Understanding and use of good body mechanics
Basic computer skills in a Windows environment
