CASUAL PART-TIME MEDICAL RADIATION TECHNOLOGIST
FCHS Diagnostic Imaging
Position available immediately
Job Duties:
Available for all shifts including days and weekends, stat holidays and participation in the on-call rotation (Mandatory 30 min call back when on-call)
Available to cover on short notice as well as vacation and sick call coverage
Managing a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
Responsible for efficient and safe operation of x-ray, and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures
Perform all General Radiology, Portable exams, ECG’s and Holter monitors and some clerical duties
Exercising sound professional judgment, using best practice guidelines
Assesses the patient’s condition prior to, during and after examinations
Contribute to a safe, inclusive environment for all, through compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures
Address and resolve minor issues in a productive, respectful manner
Collaborate with Senior technologist to mentor new staff
Assist with day to day patient and staff scheduling changes as required
Job Qualifications:
Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
and proof of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations
Must provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 12 months
Proven excellence in attendance and punctuality
Current CMRITO (College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario) registration required
Proof of Professional liability insurance with either OAMRS/CAMRT
Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
Ability to independently assess concurrent demands, set priorities, organizes work and deliver excellent quality imaging in a busy environment
