Salary Range: $40.24 - $57.68 /hour

Essential Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BCLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in breast imaging, including familiarity with interventional and procedural workflows.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology, with demonstrated understanding of cancer care pathways and patient navigation.
• Minimum 2 years of surgical nursing experience, including assisting with or managing procedural care.
• Experience with the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) required
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment with a focus on collaborative and compassionate care.
• Advanced communication and interviewing skills to effectively engage with patients experiencing anxiety or uncertainty surrounding breast health and cancer diagnoses.
• Demonstrated excellence in patient interviewing and assessment, including the ability to obtain comprehensive health histories and psychosocial information to support diagnostic and treatment planning.
• Clinical judgment and critical thinking in synthesizing patient narratives, imaging findings, and medical history to support team-based decision-making
• Proven ability to triage patients based on clinical findings, patient-reported symptoms, and procedural readiness in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Experience providing patient education and informed consent discussions related to diagnostic procedures and surgical interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and address barriers to care, coordinating with social work, oncology navigation, and community supports as appropriate.
• Proficiency in documenting patient encounters and clinical assessments in accordance with organizational standards and CNO documentation guidelines.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care practices when conducting patient interviews and assessments.
• Demonstrated competency in performing Clinical Breast Exams (CBE).
• Strong knowledge of community resources and support networks available to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in French would be an asset.
• Electro surgery and laser certifications
